I'll be surprised if he doesn't have a spill at some point though. How else can he learn the limits of the tyres? While the others are all going to know how hard they can push, JR won't know until he pushes too hard. And he will want to find those limits because he has a very brief opportunity to make a big impression.
It might not happen in the race - or even this weekend - but it's inevitable at some point that he'll crash, because it's part of the learning process, as it is for all riders coming to MotoGP.
