In all seriousness I have heard several people claim there should be a combined rider and bike weight limit, but that's not something I ever heard of in 250s. The 250s were much lighter than Moto2 bikes so rider weight was much more significant, but I don't recall anybody making an issue of it.
In fact such a limit in Moto2 would work very much in favour of the heavier riders. Lighter riders tend to be weaker than their heavier counterparts. They would have to ride heavier bikes, which would be harder to chuck about. As such the lighter riders would be at a disadvantage.
Scott wants to move up the MotoGP, when he gets there will he make the same complaints? It won't wash. Pedrosa neatly demonstrates that light weight is a double edged sword for a rider? It improves your acceleration and on some circuits that's enough. On circuits that are harder work stronger riders do better because Dani by his own admission is physically exhausted.
