I'm pretty sure 28 is the maximum age for Moto3 participation and not 26. He might have been 28 when the season started and became 29 while it was underway.
I know that Koyama could have had a start in 2011, whilst he became 29 on the second day of free practice in Qatar,
but he was allowed to participate because he was 28 on the first practice day. He never got started, because he couldn't find a good sponsor.
