Interesting comment from Iannone on gpone, (translated from Italian), which indicates he too thinks Marquez has a better engine although, ironically, that's also what Elias thought of Iannone's bike in the first year of Moto2.
"I give my all, right to the end, but like yesterday, I can't do more. Compared to Marquez we are suffering in the engine department, negating every pass as he pulls away. It's been like this all year, even though it's said that he is even lighter (than me). The team always does its best but it's not easy. I can't wait to get to (the post season tests at) Valencia and begin working for the future."
It could mean he thinks Marquez has a better engine package overall, including the ram air intake and exhaust but the implication seems to be something more.
