I believe this is a good thing. A distinct identity between the two, bringing costs down for both series, hopefully allowing more competitors on the grid.
The same company owns both entities, they want to profit on both sides so they'll want both series to be successful.
Added bonus is that there may be fewer overlaps of gp and wsb, potentially leading to more weekends of racing to watch at the track or on the telly
