At the risk of trying to communicate with *****s.. The 2007 Ducati had a massive advantage over the rest of the field mainly due to positive open/close (ie desmo) valve system. The spring valve jap bikes couldnt come close to the ducati. As the CC limit was lowered to 800cc the best way to make more power is to raise the RPM. The spring valve engines start to valve bounce at super high RPMs, hence the benefit. Also, bridgestone tyres were a huge factor...
