To me these ongoing debates seems really futile. Casey Stoner the most talented rider? Perhaps. But he is by no means the greatest. Let's not beat around the bush here, Rossi's track records is so much better as Stoner's it's not even funny. But that doesn't mean Stoner might be better at this point in time. Next season wil be telling if Rossi's time trully has come to pass (I think he will be quit competitive).
I just compare this to snooker. Somehow the greatest players always get the most smack. Ronny O'Sullivan the most talented ever? Perhaps, but not the greatest. That would be mister Stephen Hendry...
