And then we wouldn't have MotoGP. We would have the equivalent of NASCAR with a cookie cutter formula and name badges stuck on. MotoGP is about innovation and many of it fans appreciate the technical battle as much as the on track battle. What you have is a small number of riders who can push these bikes to the limits. By dumbing down the formula you let lesser riders compete with the best. I would rather be assured that the best riders in the world are the ones fighting for first place. At the moment there are three of them. One is leaving and hopefully at least two, Rossi and Marqez, are being added. Who knows, Davisioso or one of the new Ducati jockeys might love the bike and add to the alien list.
