I agree with you for a lot of what you've said. Undoubtedly, West has done diddly squat. He's ridden sub-standard machinery for the majority of his career. I also have no doubt that Bradley doesn't currently have the greatest of equipment underneath him.
However, in conditions when it rains and it levels the field out, young Bradley doesn't perform any better. He crashes or finishes down the field, just like he does in the dry.
Therefore, to my mind it shows it is not the equipment that's the problem. He's not a rider who is capable (or worthy) of a MotoGP ride.
