It was 'interesting' that when Smith was Terol's teammate in 125s, he only got to win a race after Terol was no longer in contention for the championship, especially when you compare their first seasons in Moto2. Smith's debut performance was eclipsed because of Marquez. Yet people keep knocking him, claiming, "He's not worthy", although he's outclassed every Tech3 teammate he's had by a wide margin, include an ex-world champion. There's no way that you can compare the relative performances of Smith and Terol in 125s and Moto2 without concluding that, at the very least, machinery plays a vital role in deciding results, even in the (relatively) 'level of playing field' of Moto2 and, as the speed trap figures prove, the Mistral is a long way down on top speed. Yet the anti-Smith brigade can't seem to get grasp this, or simply refuse to acknowledge it.
