Setting the rider weight at 75kg seems a bit high for moto2 as it means all the riders will have to carry ballast and the flyweights could have their bike weight increased by 15% (25kg). That's one big lump of ballast! As others have noted, the flyweights gain on acceleration but lose out a bit by not being able to muscle the bike around. Making the bike 20-25kg heavier is going to disadvantage them hugely. Also, I wonder if the weighing will be done after the race (as in F1)? If so, would Marquez have been disqualified today for failing to return with all his equipment, having thrown his gloves to the crowd?
