In terms of racing fights to the flag I can only remember Brno. That one was decent enough though. Oh and Sachs! But that ended before the flag. Estoril and Qatar were ok but not emotive enough. Not enough to fulfill the promise that the return to the 1000's would give us more competitive races. Some circumstances like an inconstant weather, the absence of Stoner and the fact that from mid-season Lorenzo could manage to win the championship just by making second places (not that hard when 3 riders were well above the par) didn't help wholehearted battles. I was expecting more, much more. Still, my main problem is that next year might not be better. The only hope for that not to happen is everyone keeping their wheels rubberside down, Rossi proving me wrong and return to his former self and Marquez faring as well as many expect. Lorenzo and Pedrosa still are the main favorites but if they have a pace unmatched by any others the season risks to have many boring races...
