It's amazing but had Nakasuga not been on the podium today, it would have been the first time in 27 years that a Japanese rider had not finished on the podium in any of the 3 classes during a grandprix/motogp season. I believe this is just the 2nd time that a wild card rider has placed on the rostrum since Bayliss' wild card ride at Valencia on the Ducati. Also, congrats on the birth of his second child, Haruto this past week as well. I'm sure getting 2nd at Valencia is just icing on the cake to a terrific past few weeks.
