"Legends don't quit"?? You guys need to see past the Dorna smoke haze. Stoner was forced out of MotoGP. Stoner had a 2 year contract with HRC in 2011, it ended in 2012, Dorna changed the rules to only 4 Prototype bikes per manufacturer, Bautista and Bradl had 2 year contracts starting in 2012-2013. Dorna changed the rookie rule for 2013, Repsol & Dorna wanted Marquez in MotoGP but there would have been no Prototype bike for him to ride and Repsol wasn't going to have Marquez on a CRT. The only way to get Marquez in to MotoGP was to force Stoner into retirement, because he sure as hell wasn't going to jump on a CRT.
