Casey Stoner has said on numerious occasions,he came to motogp solely to win races,if championships came his way he said that would be a bonus,he didnt care about them.and he sure as hell won plenty of races. He achieved all he set out to do,and had nothing left to prove. And it will be a long time before we see another rider of his caliber. Casey retiring means the benchmark has been lowered,Because lorenzo and pedro only have themselves to beat, nobody else is even close.Enjoy your retirement casey you deserve it. 10 years of thrills and spills, fantastic to watch, you will be surely missed by all true motorcycle racers and fans. cheers you are a legend.
