“@Tetley Your rationale for Stoner is cynical and derogatory, and misrepresents the facts. your opinion though. @True Fan”
I don’t know what you were watching, maybe it was highlights? but when interviewed on the grid Stoner said he didn’t want to be there and he was frightened of injuring himself. That’s fact, not opinion. “he only made an effort when he saw a podium was possible” I formed that opinion from him circulating steadily nowhere near the front runners, but benefitting when others fell or dropped out. IMHO, when he realised he was in fourth with a chance of third, he decided to raise his pace and quickly caught and passed for a podium place.
“I also believe his being lapped is a symbolic end to a disasterous folly. True Fan”
Disastrous folly. Yes, I 100percent agree that signing for Ducati was brave and ambitious, but ill-fated.
Roll on Tuesday when we find if The Dogcati has corrupted VR’s capabilities.
