@Tetley it's still a misrepresentation. True that he didn't want to ride in those conditions because of the risk. If has crashes, he could easily do permanent damage. He was told not to ride for months...
He made the same mistake as Rossi - wrong tyre choice - too conservative. Guessed wrong. Didn't crash, changed bikes and reduced the gap to the race winner after re-joining. You make it sound like he's a coward for doing that, but Rossi is a genius for getting lapped.
Stoner bows out with yet another podium. Rossi bows out from Ducati as last prototype to finish, lapped by leaders, and beaten by semi-production bikes. It wasn't the bike, it was the tyre choice. I wonder what you would have said if Rossi came third...
