@888 Simoncelli crashed more often, even in his second year and back in the day they could choose between more tyres. (various soft and hard tyres) The Honda bosses were impressed how Bradl handled the hard tyres. (difficult for a rookie to grasp the concept and understand, that's why rookies often gone for the softer option) Also, he finished 8th in the championship. Just like Stoner in his first MotoGP year at LCR.
