Compare those who win the Aussie championship with BSB winners. I know which one produces world champs. Bayliss only managed 2nd in Supersport and then 3rd and 2nd in the Superbikes. So he was never an Aussie champ but won BSB on his second attempt. Troy Corser won the Aussie championship which got him a ride in the AMA championship which he won before moving to WSBK. Curtain won the Proddies, Supersport and Superbikes before going overseas. He won the Aussie FX championship this year. Andrew Pitt won the Aussie Supersport and came 2nd in the Superbikse before going oveseas. Vermeulan only came 8th in the Aussie Superbikes but he was the first privateer. It was enough for Barry Sheene to organise his rides in the BSB Superstock and Supersports where he came 4th and 5th and was snapped up by Ten Kate.
