I really can't believe that you've watched racing for that long and don't really know what goes on...how nieve is that?
There was a time I was heavily involved in racing and believe me cheating was rife! Yes bikes get thro' scrutineering, but what happens between then and the race when the team has them back...ever wondered about that? What about guys running 350 TZ's in the 250 class, or overbored 350's meant for the 500 class but still run as a 350, or riders going out and qualifying for another rider that isn't going so well to get a better grid position....that's just a few simple examples, and at world championship level not club racing! It still goes on, of that there is no doubt, only difference is it will be more sophisticated now and related more to the budget the team has to develop 'ideas'.
