Carbon brake got nothing to do with the arm pump. Increases bike weight does.
Riders get the arm pump when they had to counter G-forces that increased at corners. They used to flick the bike from side to side faster before with less traveling mass.
Now, they had to use every ounces of their body weight to lean the bike against the greater G-force. The TC doesn't help much when the rivals keep riding faster beyond the limits.
