Aside from the TT not being ticketed and therefore true attendance be accurately recorded, even by estimates it is unfortunatley not really close to the top ten.
Last year the steam packet reported 11,237 bikes came for TT fornight (so max 20,000 people) and 41,100 people came through Ronaldsway. Even if we said a generous 75% of those flying came for the TT, we're still looking at only 50,000 people flying or riding there.
Sure, there would have been some people driving and some people as foot passengers, but I am sure nowhere near enough to get up to the 100,000 people mark.
The TT is growing though, it's brilliantly marketed, the best TV coverage for generations... it's on the up.
