of corse Rossi does not deserve to be in the top 10. That goes without saying.
Daying that he should be because of his final standing is ridiculous. In that case, we may as well not even bother having a poll and list the final standings instead.
This poll is all about peoples opinions, based on the riders themselves, expectations, equipment, support, experience, etc. Its a complete package.
This is why Rossi was is out of the top 10, and that why Hayden pipped him. Despite having much more support, many more millions thrown at him and HIS bike, he really struggled to beat an injured Hayden this year, and only just beat him the year before when it went down to the last race. So given that Rossi was expected to beat Hayden by a similar margin to what Stoner did, and whilst having much more support, then thats why Rossi got 11th and Hayden 10th.
The same can be said for Bautista, and Dovi and Cal's positions.
