I didn't vote but glad that Cal came 4th. 0.1 ahead of Dovi shows that they weren't just close on the track this year. Yes Dovi scored more points and podiums but then again this was his 3rd or 4th year in Moto GP I think and Cal's second.
They say that qualifying shows outright speed and he outscored Dovi there. But Dovi is still a extremely good rider (he finished 3 rd overall the year before) and suppose that Ducati were right to sign him instead of Cal.
But in terms of laughs and personality Cal is def good for Moto GP (all riders like him) as is his willingness to really go for it. He surprised many this year (me included) with his speed (just look at his front row starts).
Off topic slightly - sad that Casey stoner has left, personally I think that poor simoncellis accident weighed heavily in his decision.
