Dani has had another great year, but how quickly people forget. Here's how the season played out for Dani. Until Sachsenring, he was looking decidedly down-beat on the podiums and a clear second-best to Casey. Even at Sachsenring (which is Dani's best track), Casey was clearly faster and binned it trying to find a way past. But when Casey breaks his ankle (again after showing much greater pace than Dani for the weekend), Dani suddenly looks the goods again. Weird. Not saying he isn't an alien or awesome, because he is. But he only looked good once his team mate was injured. Jorge was clearly the rider of the year (YMMV).
