Relative to the current crop of riders now definitley.
IMO if it were not for the redesign of the M1, Ohlins providing him with the new stuff first, and Mich helping them out of set up problems with overnights, he wouldn't have won in 2004.
It's either the competition wasn't as good as it is now, or the M1 was not the pig of a bike people "claimed" it to be. Take your pick.
I believe Rossi is a superbly talented rider, and nothing takes away from his achievements. I just don't buy into the fanboy BS.
