@ stat dude For me to be included in the greatest of all time a rider has to be be versatile enough to knock out world championships year after year, beating along the way other brilliant riders. In the recent era that to me is in no order Roberts snr, Doohan, Lawson, Rainey, Rossi, Biaggie, and Fogarty. I know Foggy didnt do GPs, but he saw off plenty of brilliant riders in his career, and he was awesome on the roads. Stoner, although a master of machine control and some versatility didnt have in him what it takes to stick around long enough to get on my list. Probably he loves hos wife and daughter more than he loves racing, whereas those ony list love racing more than anything.
