The "how many championships did they win?" debate is always fun. Kevin Schwantz for example only won one championship, it doesn't change the fact he's one of the greatest racers I've seen in my lifetime. The ultimate aim of a true racer whether on 2 or 4 wheels is to win as many races as possible. Championships are great BUT(and this has happened on more than one occasion in the past) you can win a championship without winning a race.
People will say "oh Casey only won 2 championships" so? He was 4th on the all time win list in the premier class and in the top 10 in total GP wins when he called it a day, I don't think he'll be too upset. You don't achieve what he did if you're not an exceptional racer, there's been better racers in the past and there will be better racers in future but one fact you can't argue is that he was one of if not the top racer of "his" time.
