Ok ill answer your question if you answer mine.
In answer to your question, 'what to racers race for?'. Of course, their aim is to win as many races as possible. And of course they also aim to win championships. Which is more important? Well the logical answer to that for me and you and the rest of joe public is championships, but you may very well get a different answer if you ask the top riders/drivers in motorsport the same question. Vettel, Hamilton, Alonso and in fact Stoner and Lorenzo have all recently stated that their main aim is to win races and if the championship comes to them in the end its a bonus.
Ive raced at regional level at best (dont laugh please), and my aim was again to win as many races as possible (although i didnt get close to a win, maybe down to my bike, but again, please dont laugh ).
So, can you answer my question now please? You say Stoner 'only won 2 championships', yet so did Rossi and Lorenzo during that time too, only they didnt w
