In the early 50s NSU dropped into the 125 and 250 classes for a couple of years and won 4 WCs proved their point and dropped out again, in the 50s they were the largest motorcycle manufacturers in the world prior to moving into car manufacturing always forward thinkers they went with the rotary engine which was their downfall. They were bought out by VW who formed another company made up of other failed companies Auto Union DKW another bike company and a few others changed their name to Audi and the rest is history anyone thinking these guys can't cut the mustard are in for a big surprise.
