Only a fool would thnk that Stoner would have finished behind Pedrosa without his injury, given the tracks still to ride on the calendar. Stoner would likely have won Indy, Aragon and Brno, and wound have been a strong chance to win at Sepang, Motegi and Valencia. Misano not his best track but he's dynamite at all the others there, Pedrosa would have struggled by time to beat Casey at those tracks. Sachsenring is Dani's best track, and Stoner was less than half a second behind him with two turns to go. Phillip Island is Stoners est track and Dani never stood a chance despite his mistake there, even when Stoner had a stuffed ankle.
