Tetley while agree with you I'm not sure the desmo engine design is totaly the issue. If it creates power similar to the pneumatic engines of the Yam and Honda then what difference does it make. If you are right about it taking more fuel to generate the same power as the pneumatics then yes it's a problem. Assuming fuel is not the issue then it's just a matter of making the power work with the chassis and tires to increase rider confidence. Currently the Duc does neither.
