IMO, if Cal can't get a seat on a factory Yam or Honda, then he (like anyone else not on one of those) may as well chase a ride in WSBK (& hope to hell that Dorna haven't wrecked the racing by the time he gets there). Why? Cos without the factory bike, then wins & a good shot at the WC are practically impossible. MotoGP is a only a 4-horse event, so even if Cal has the talent to stuff em all he's never going to actually be able to. Better to take a shot at a WC where the outcome is far less er... pre-determined.
