if crutchlow were to switch bikes with lorenzo and rossi, he would be finishing ahead of them in every race. hypotheticals aside, your theory, to me, sounds like rossi and lorenzo won their titles and had the success they did BECAUSE of the factory yamaha and not their skills as riders. I see it as yes their bikes were slightly better than the sat. ones, but who was on them? edwards, spies, toseland, crutchlow, and now smith. edwards and spies were on factory bikes too but their success only SLIGHTLY improved, correct? nonetheless this is a great topic: Satellite bikes, whose to blame for the lack of success.. machine or rider?
