To all the people saying Casey deserves more than a second tier series: you do understand the concept of working your way up in a sport, right? Did any MotoGP rider start on a prototype? Or even a street bike, for that matter? No, they started on mini bikes.
Casey will no doubt need at least one season to orientate himself within the sport, the rules, etc, before hitting the big leagues. For that matter, why do you suppose many riders choose to stay in Moto2 an extra year or two before moving up to the GPs? To gain the experience which will help their one and only shot at success in GPs successful.
