Lets not forget that in the good old days of full 2 stroke grids it wasn't uncommon for several riders to be lapped. This was a rarity last year with the CRT bikes. What's more, apart from the odd instance, all CRT bikes managed to qualify within the 107% (?) qualifying cut-off. Not too bad for the first year of the class and with no "A" list riders on board. I for one am happy that the "class" exists and allows up and coming riders to experience motogp.
