With the 2 strokes you had 4 and 2 cylinders and the amount of fuel were the same, only thing was the 2 cylinders had approx. 50 bhp less.
There wasn't a limit on engines so this are your answers about CRT bikes don't getting lapped.
Give them their equal amount of fuel and 10 engines per season without engines counted for testing and trust me the CRT's will be lapped a couple of times.
It's not that the CRT's are looking good, they made the prototypes looking bad.
Coming season there are more steps being made to making them look bad because they dropped another engine from the allocation so engines have to be more durable. Developing such an engine costs money and I thought it was to make MotoGP cheaper.
