And... I'll say it now. All those saying that Ben Spies or Dovi will get a win and can make the difference.
No - they can't, and IMO, won't. I'd be happy if it were possible, but common sense and the fact they are hamstrung with development (admittedly improved now its shared between 4 riders) suggests not.
I'd guess that, if (IF) they do get competitive, the most likely reason would be that Ducati have already managed to develop some parts that make a breakthrough - and those parts will be ones that VR either rejected, or never tested in the first place (i.e they already had a solution that they didn't know they had).
Right now, all the info says its impossible for a Ducati to challenge HRC / Yam in a dry race.
