You guys completely dont understand what he's saying. Pirelli Make road tyres for racing, or they make race tyres road legal more like it. I race in a series that has a control tyre. WSBK develop the tyre and it goes down the chain to club level. This year WSBK go to 17" tyre. I will be racing on the same tyre as WSBK this year. The Average 600cc race use road tyres...or race tyres designed to work on roads, they have minimal tread becuase they want it to mimick a slick but have tread to induce quicker heating. The man makes perfect sense.
