Look - even F1 has seen the light, and is encouraging initiatives to improve the racing. Today there is a story where Pirelli are introducing new tyres, with the emphasis not on faster, or grippier, or longevity, but on developing characertistics to make the job harder for the teams to encourage more overtaking.
Never mind for a minute WHAT has been done and whether or not you agree that this specific thing is what you agree with.... look at the bigger picture and the PHILOSOPHY and CULTURE being driven to the fire at F1, which is to focus on trying to improve the competiveness and the quality of racing as the goal.
I never thought I'd say this, but MotoGP now needs to look at F1 as a model for how they ought to be thinking - get the Racing right, and the Fans and sponsors, and TV will follow. Pander to the Factory's and we get the mess we have now and a Series in crisis.
