I'm not trying to be nasty, what I'm saying is that rivalry on and off the track does not preclude top level racing. The reason that IMO that viewing time is down is not because of inter rider rivalries (Lets be honest there haven't been any in the past few years... Sure the fans are squabbling like children in the forums but the riders themselves are all for the most part keeping it respectful and professional) I believe its because of a lack of close racing and such a disparity between the bikes. Lets be honest you'll be extremely lucky to win on a satellite and a miracle to win on CRT.
If they keep the sport a no holds barred technological war the only winner will really be Honda and maybe Yam.
I'm not suggesting set up the races or anything like that, if you look at the two stroke era the top riders always won but there was close racing throughout, it just made for a better series.
