The Welsh 'anti-bike' thing was a pillock Senior Plod called Brunstrom in North Wales who was VERY anti-bike - made it a crusade. He'd gone now with his fat public sector pension, so things are better. I live in the South-West and the ones who got trouble were big groups riding stupidly and drawing bad press and attention on biking. As for Ebbw Vale and access - any of you lot ever tried the access into Mugello? The M4 is a picnic compared to that. Anyway - the amount of people heading into Cardiff for an Intl Rugby match are likely to be higher than a MotoGP or WSBK race could attract, so traffic wouldn't be as bad as those events. With the great roads esp. from the North bikers would love Ebbw Vale as a venue, and the local economy would like their business!
