Its going to be a long time before anyone comes close to Rossi's records, that doesnt mean they are not as good, or even better. Rossi racked up over 2/3 of his wins and titles against the likes of Gibernau, Biaggi, and Capirossi. Lorenzo is not going to do it, Marquez is not going to do it, there is simply to much top flight talent in the series at this time. Stoner being gone helps Marquez in more ways than one. Obviously had he stayed, Marquez would not be on a factory bike, plus, he wont have to battle the benchmark of the series of the last 6 years for wins.
