Face it! JB would know the dimensions, stats and intricacies of the M1 like the back of his hand. Applying that knowledge to another machine unless built in an identical style and material will NOT result in a clone! I will say it again, CAD, mathematics, algorithms etc will only support the black art of chassis building to a point and Ducati would have all but hypnotised a very willing Burgess to copy that M1's characteristics. Burgess has NEVER built a bike, his role and influence on its performance are very exaggerated! The only bike he (with Rossi) have had significant influence with is now further from the front than when they started. This statistic is fact not opinion. Too many changes and too much effort to get away from the stigma that Stoner could win on the carbon bike. Simple.
