"jfc1, I'm referring to the ducati (in both 800 and 1000cc forms) since their takeover at the end of 2009 to the end of 2012, not just the last few months!" The GP9 and GP10 were both was an 800cc CF bikes. Those are the last two Ducatis that Stoner rode, and the first two that Hayden rode. Rossi started with GP10, they changed to the GP11 chassis in mid-season (it was still CF), and the GP12 is aluminium. The GP13 is a repainted GP13, as we know now. "There are numerous first hand stories of the riders saying their bikes changed little between 800 and 1000 other than for torque effect." Probably, see above. Rossi said the GP11 was fine, with the 1L engine. So they changed the GP10 to use the GP11 frame. And for some reason that did not solve the problem that Rossi saw with the bike. Even changing to the GP11 outright didn't solve the problem. Now Dovi is saying "problems".. " Rossi has said multiple times the bike he finished with was 'no different' (his words not mine)" ...than
