Ducati are using Iannone rather than Hayden for the test in the desperate hope he suddenly gels with the bike as he's not ridden decent handling Japanese motogp racers. In other words, they are simply hoping to strike lucky and find another Stoner instead of turning the bike into something most riders can get on with, They won't change their precious L but 'updates' such as moving the ECU (to a position where heat and/or vibration break it), isn't going to sort out their endemic front end handling problems.
