Of course he didn't design the mono frame but to think duc produced the new road bike without input from the carbon mono bike, then you're dreaming. Likewise, if Stoner wasn't able to achieve multiple wins/poles/fastest laps, do you think they would have bothered? Maybe you think they should have used Haydens/Melandris/Capirossi's developmental genius? As it was the release of the bike was delayed because of the poor performance of Rossi over the last two years! So Yeah, Stoner 'derived' is certainly a quantifiable comment. Talk about semantics, Crikey!
