The fact is, Ducati is a very small company that has made a great contribution to motorcycle design. Road going motorcycles would be a lot uglier if Ducati hadn't changed the game. In MotoGP, Preziosi built motorcycles that dared to be different. First with a steel trellis frame, then with carbon fibre. Were they masterpieces? Not quite. He's Italian. They were passionate but flawed. They were still very imaginative, and I would have preferred that they perfected the Ducati rather than diminish it into a pale imitation of a Yamaha to suit a naricissist that wasn't as good as his hype. It is a sad indictment on MotoJokeP that Preziosi has been treated so badly.
