Marc is rightfully deserved of his ride. The Rookie Rule needed to go, as it has stifled great talent in the past, i.e. Spies. Tire allocation and fuel limits are fine with me. I do however wish they'd loosen up on the number of engines. Maybe 9 in total? To have riders sitting around in the pits during practice sessions, saving mileage makes for very boring coverage for the paying fans. Also, a rider losing points, or even the title, due to the fault of a defective timing component or similar is truly tragic. It's true any engine can fail at anytime from the first crank, but 5 engines for 18 races is too few. CRTs should have no engine limits other than fuel. They stand to be no threat to the title regardless of the engine allocation rule.
