So far Smiths MotoGP testing and approach seem pretty similar to how Stefan Bradl approached his Rookie season with Honda. And Bradl (ok he arrived at MGP with the M2 title where Smith has not) got nothing but parise for his methodical and measured approach to learning to ride his MGP bike. As I recall, Bradl's initial positions in Testing weren't much different to Smiths either. Smith seems to be trying to do the same thing, yet because he's not lightning like Marquez is (with the biggest budget and a Full Factory Team and an HRC megabucks missile) then (again) its all negativity and vitriol coming his way from the trolls. Personally, I'd be happy to see him find the pace to run competively with the other Satellite Bikes of the Bautista's, Bradl's and Crutchlow's, if nothing else so that the bashers will slink away looking stupid.
